Lucia Talbert (Chia) is an illustrator and designer currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York. A merit-based scholarship recipient, Lucia specializes in visual storytelling, blending conceptual design with both digital and traditional media.
Known for her hyper-realist stippling technique, Lucia meticulously creates intricate, high-detail works using thousands of hand-drawn dots.
Her previous experience also includes working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, creating custom visuals for branding, marketing and editorial use.
Originally from Sydney Australia, Lucia has a background in graphic design, having studied at TAFE NSW, where she was awarded Student of the Year (2022). Her multidisciplinary approach, technical precision, and passion for detail continue to shape her evolving body of work.
Latest exhibition ‘Romance is not Dead’ @ Bow and Arrow
I believe romance can be found in the most obscure of things. It is not limited to the traditional notion of romance but is seen in the everyday. Perspective can transform the quotidian, the ordinary, the everyday, the seemingly banal, to an object of beauty and romance.
